Dog-friendly holiday cottages in the Forest of Dean

Enjoy a leisurely stroll with your dog through the Forest of Dean

The dog-friendly cottages are all sympathetically restored historic farm buildings and feature real comfort and luxury alongside lots of original features, such as exposed oak beams. They combine the best of the old and the new and come complete wood-burning stoves and wi-fi. For the ultimate in relaxation there is a private sauna and the option of hiring hot tubs. Kids are well catered for as there is a children’s play area and games room, and, if you’re feeling sporty, there is a tennis court and croquet lawn.

The surrounding area is a doggy paradise, with miles of walks to discover in the beautiful Royal Forest of Dean and across the rest of the local countryside. For example, you can head out, lead in hand, and walk straight from your cottage to the River Severn. Or why not head across the fields to the local village of Awre, which has a beautiful historic church to visit?

Among the many other local attractions are The Dean Heritage Centre, Tintern Abbey and the beautiful towns of Bath and Chelenham Spa. This is the perfect countryside for cycling or rambling and once yo have worked up an appetite, you can try one of the many local dog-friendly pubs and restaurants such the Cock Inn in Blakeney.

With terrific reviews on TripAdvisor, it’s definitely worth checking out.
